A rare and superb Montblanc Limited Edition "Writers Series" Fountain Pen, celebrating the important writer Franz Kafka (please follow this link).
The pen features an unusual and handsome design that gradually shifts from round at the cap to square at the base, alluding to the great writer's masterpiece The Metamorphosis. Top, clip and rings are made of sterling 925 silver offering a thrilling contrast to the dark red translucent aura of the barrel.
The 18 Karat Solid Gold nib is hand-engraved with an insect also alluding to the same theme.The pen is in perfect condition, like new, opened but never used, it comes with the original book-shaped display box and booklet. The model dates to 2004.
It is a Limited Edition number 7538 / 18500.
