DESCRIPTION
A rare and superb Montblanc Limited Edition 4810 "Patron of Art" Fountain Pen, celebrating Gaius Octavian, also known as Julius Caesar Augustus, who brought years of peace, artistic development, and cultural renaissance to Rome.
The black resin cup and barrel are decorated with a fascinating solid 925 sterling silver spider's web design, adapted from a design typical of the 1920's and recalling the emperor's elabortely woven network of power.
The 18 Karat Gold nib is beautifully hand-engraved with a spider.
The pen is in perfect condition, never used, it comes with the original outer box, laquered wood display box, booklet and paperwork. The model dates to 1992.
It is a Limited Edition number 1727 / 4810.
CONDITION
Pen and box in Great Condition - Never used. Just minor wear as expected, the silver has a slight patination that can be easily polished.
