19th Century pair George IV silver wine coolers and liners, each exceptionally heavy and crisp, decorative and ornamental, tapering lobed body chased with shaped circular border and foot with spume rims, applied with cast flowers and leaves, cast foliage handles with flowers. Hallmarked English silver (925), London, year 1825 (k), Maker's mark BS for Benjamin Smith III.

ANTIQUE 20thC UNIQUE VICTORIAN SILVER MOUNTED DR EDWARD WILSON'S PIPE C.1900
Antique 20th Century Victorian Solid Silver mounted pipe, engraved with the initials "EW", it comes in the original leather case. The mount is Hallmarked English silver (925 standard), London, year 1900 (e), Maker's mark "GBD".
The pipe comes with a hand-written note reading: "This Pipe was Dr Edward Wilson, He who was Scott's close friend who accompanied him to the South Pole, on, November 1911. He died with him the following year".

ANTIQUE 19thC UNIQUE ODIOT SOLID SILVER EXCEPTIONAL FIGURAL EWER, PARIS c.1875
19th Century French Solid Silver figural ewer, raised on a circular foot applied with cast Mythological figures, the tall baluster body is chased and applied with four allegories of the seasons surrounded by scrolling foliage decoration, the front is applied with a cast Satyr holding a cup, the large handle is applied with scrolling foliage and surmounted by a nude nymph squeezing grapes in the jug.
The base is Hallmarked French silver (Minerva's head, 950), Paris, year 1870-80, Maker's mark for Jean-Baptiste Gustave Odiot.

ANTIQUE 19thC GERMAN 14K SOLID GOLD RENAISSANCE STYLE CUTLERY SERVICE c.1830
19th Century German Renaissance style 14k solid gold cutlery set, comprising: six spoons, six forks and six knives. The finely modelled, cast figural handles in form of a loosely draped woman, one arm seductively covering her breast, the other side depicting a semi-nude male, both standing on a pedestal base. The knifes engraved in reserves with scroll decoration on matted ground and each spoon engraved with a large and impressive coat of arms.

19th Century Important Imperial Russian silver Royal presentation cigar garniture, on octagonal base, naturalistically formed as a peasant standing on rocky ground and smoking a pipe, standing next on a barrel forming a cigar holder, with a bucket nearby forming a match holder, both with gilt interiors, also with an axe with pierced centre attached to a hollow tree-stump forming a cigar-cutter, with a detachable hidden base for cigar trimmings, the base engraved 'Presented by His Imperial Highness / The Grand Duke Alexis of Russia / to Edward S. Sanford / Pensacola Florida. Feb. 22nd 1872',.

19th Century extremely rare Imperial Russian Order of the White Eagle. Comprising: Sash Badge, Second Type, with scrolls beneath the crown, gold and enamels, with typical wear to the blue enamel on the scrolls. Breast Star, in silver-gilt and enamel, set comes totally complete and in a contemporary fitted case.

ANTIQUE 18thC CHINESE QING DYNASTY SOLID SILVER-GILT TEA CUPS & SAUCERS C.1700
Early-18th Century Chinese Qing Dynasty silver-gilt pair of tea cups and saucers, repousse and fine chased work, cast cups dipicting people of nobility surrounded by blossom trees and pogodas on finelly tooled ground, mounted with unusually shaped cast scroll handles. The saucers beautifully hand engraved and each applied with four convext sections dipicting birds amongst blooming flowers, such recuring scenes were favourite of Chinese court and painters of the Ming Dynasty and would continue to be used in later Chinese works of Art.

ANTIQUE 18thC CHINESE SILVER-GILT FILIGREE, ENAMEL & GEM SET CENTREPIECE c.1750
18th Century Chinese silver-gilt filigree & gem set, table ornament. The jardinière-form base on four panel supports chased with foliage below a plain frame enclosing Fu Dogs in filigree within cartouches of enamelled flowers within borders of fringed silver beadwork, the filigree surrounds applied with stylised trailing vines with enamelled leaves and coral beads, the angle panels similarly decorated with birds inhabiting enamelled flowering foliage; above rises a stylised mountain inspired by Chinese mythology, composed of folded and formed filigree sheets applied with many details, including figures, flowering leafy plants, buildings and a bridge rising to a tiered pagoda hung with bells, in early 20th century dark blue velvet lined wood case.

19th Century Chinese export silver large twin handled bowl, of oval vessel shape, the body decorated with four large shaped panels, embossed with various scenes in relief depicting Chinese nobility amongst city landscape, detailed battle scenes, bamboo with parching birds and water lilies, the sides mounted with a handles that are beautifully modelled as a dragon and standing on dragon shaped heads.

20th Century Japanese Meiji period silver and mixed-metal pair of vases. The bulbous body chased and applied with a rooster, chicken and baby chicks, flowering bamboo branches with copper, gold and gilt details, the pair features exceptional workmanship and attention to detail. The inscription to the base translates as, Founding Anniversary of the Taiwan Development Company Limited, Dated 11th November 25th, 1936.
The signature on the side reads Yumin for Ameya Yumin.

Hallmarked with Japanese silver marks (1000 standard), Yokohama, Makers mark Samurai Shokai.

19th Century Japanese Meiji period solid silver & shibayama model of a dragon. Cast and carved as a serpentine water dragon, spiked body, mouth open with a stylized wave spray supporting a gold lacquered shibayama ball mounted with an enamel cockerel finial. The piece dates to the Meiji period (1890-1912), acid tested shows a 950+ silver standard, probably made by Kazumi.

Antique early-20th Century Monumental Indian colonial solid silver scroll casket. Of traditional rectangular form, standing on a wide spreading foot, decorated with acanthus leaf and reeded boarders with x-junctions, the sides adorned with bow tied swags and rosettes in shield reserves, surrounded by columns. The large domed lid mounted with a large shaped finial, the interior is lined with red and blue silk.

19th Century Japanese Meiji period solid silver & shibayama model of a dragon. Cast and carved as a serpentine water dragon, spiked body, mouth open with a stylized wave spray supporting a gold lacquered shibayama ball mounted with an enamel cockerel finial. The piece dates19th Century Indian Cutch silver three piece tea set, modeled as Black Francolins standing on snakes, textured all over with a scalloped pattern and with large feathers detailed on the wings; the large francolin as teapot with its head hinging open along the beak to serve as spout and the serpent's tail entwined around its neck serving as handle with ivory insulators; small francolin with hinged head and raised wings as milk jug, the other as sugar bowl with hinged back. The base of the teapots foot is stamped O.M BHUJ.

19th Century Indian Colonial silver presentation trophy cup and cover, the massive campana-shaped body on a circular stepped foot chased with flowers and scrolling foliage, the body chased with a band of trailing vine on a matted background, the lower part also chased with scrolling leaves incorporating elephant and tiger's heads, extremely fine, crisp and detailed.

ANTIQUE 20thC ROYAL INDIAN OOMERSI MAWJI JR SOLID SILVER QUAILS TEA SET c.1920
20th Century Indian Magnificent Cutch silver three piece tea service, modeled as seated, well-rounded quails, realistically decorated with detailed feathers and richly gilded interior.
Enough of one mark was left to decipher the rectangular shapes with the letters “O.M BARODA”, but the attribution is nevertheless confirmed in terms of style and exceptional quality. Equally distinctive is the circle within each base struck with the marks (see comparisons with base of the set in the Virginia Art Museum, figs. 4-5).

20th Century Exceptional Indian colonial solid silver six-piece tea service, comprising of coffee pot, water jug, teapot, sugar bowl, cream jug, sugar tongs and a tray, each body is profusely and beautifully repousse' decorated with religious processions, a typical scenes from the Meenakshi Amman temple in southern India, depicting the story of Vishnu's decent to earth as Jagganath. The realistically modelled snake shaped handles, lids mounted with finials depicting a seated Shiva on an elephant and a cow, the tray with numerous panels depicting traditional rural scenes and mounted around the edge with a cast snake boarder and intertwining handles.

19th Century Indian (Kutch) silver three-piece tea set on tray, comprising of a teapot, sugar bowl, cream jug and tray, each piece is profusely and beautifully repousse' decorated with scrolling foliage and flowers on a tooled ground, depicting various wild animals, such as; lions, elephants, boars, wild dogs and antelopes, mounted with branch shape handles, each entwined with a snake, the teapot mounted with an elephant head shaped spout and elephant finial.

ANTIQUE 20thC BURMESE SOLID SILVER SCULPTURAL TEA & COFFEE SET ON TRAY c.1903
20th Century Burmese, Myanmar silver 4-piece tea and coffee set on a presentation tray, comprising of teapot, coffee pot, lidded sugar bowl, lidded cream jug, each piece is highly-decorative, chased and repoussed with various scenes from Burmese mythology. Each piece is applied with a cast figural handles and each spout terminates with a mythical naga head, each cover is surmounted by a dancing female figure.
Acid tested to show 900 grade silver. The tray bears a presentation inscription 'Presented to F.C.Kennedy C.I.E, General Manager Irrawaddy Flotilla Co Ltd as a mark of asteem by the commanders of the Flotilla Co Ltd....6th October 1903' The Irrawaddy Flotilla company was a Scottish-owned passenger and ferry company, which operated services on the Irrawaddy river in Burma.

19th Century French jewelled gold and enamel snuff box, exceptionally fine and important, of shaped rectangular form, the lid applied with a royal crown above the cipher of Henry V de Bourbon, comte de Chambord (1820-1883), four fleur-de-lis, all set with rose-cut diamonds, blue enamel on a striped engine turned ground, the interior engraved: “Donné par Monsieur le / Comte de Chambord/ au Baron de Schwiter / 1855”.

Hallmarked with French gold assay and maker's marks, fitted case inscribed 'Croix Ciselée vers 1725 avant fait partie du tresor des Romanoff offerte in 1850 par le Tsar Nicolas 1ER a Madame Arnould-Plessy Collection de Monsieur Foulon de Vaux'.

20th CENTURY EXTREMELY RARE LOUIS VUITTON HEMINGWAY TRUNK c.1935
Way back in 1927, American author Ernest Hemingway became the lucky owner of his own custom trunk designed by Gaston-Louis Vuitton. Hemingway’s library trunk was a mish mash of shelves and secret drawers, one can imagine that it was home to his own collection of books.
