19th Century Chinese export silver large twin handled bowl, of oval vessel shape, the body decorated with four large shaped panels, embossed with various scenes in relief depicting Chinese nobility amongst city landscape, detailed battle scenes, bamboo with parching birds and water lilies, the sides mounted with a handles that are beautifully modelled as a dragon and standing on dragon shaped heads.

Antique 19th Century Chinese export solid silver large twin handled bowl, of oval vessel shape, the body decorated with four large shaped panels, embossed with various scenes in relief depicting Chinese nobility amongst city landscape, detailed battle scenes, bamboo with parching birds and water lilies, the sides mounted with a handles that are beautifully modelled as a dragon and standing on dragon shaped heads.

Hallmarked Chinese Export Silver (90), Hong Kong, circa 1895-1930, Maker's mark T.S for Tin Sang. This retailer is often incorrectly identified as being “TIEN SHING”; In Cantonese, the correct romanisation would be “TIN SANG” and in Mandarin the correct pronunciation would be “TIAN SHENG” - the name in Chinese is 田盛. The artisan mark is ZHAO CHANG 兆昌, Canton.
This artisan workshop made for many of the Canton retailers: Hoaching; Hung Chong; Khe Cheong; Man Hing [MH]; Pau Kong [PK]; Sing Fat; Tin Sang; Tuck Chang; Wang Hing; Wing Chun; Wing Nam; Wo Long.
