Antique early-20th Century Russian empire style solid silver & cut glass vase, of tapering cylindrical form, cut with star facets and ellipses, the mount cast with intertwining laurel branches, the handles suspended as laurel wreaths. Hallmarked Russian Silver 84 (875 standard), Moscow (1908-1917), Maker's mark 15A (15th Artel).

Artels were cooperative associations of craftsmen that existed in Imperial Russia and Soviet Union. These associations consisted of a small number of members specialised in a specific art and producing a limited number of unique high quality objects. There are thirty-four known artels for silver.
