Hallmarked Russian silver 84 (875 standard), Moscow, year 1896-1908, Assayer's mark IL (Ivan Lebedkin), Maker's mark in Cyrillic MS for Maria Semenova.

Antique late 19th Century rare Imperial Russian Solid Silver and shaded cloisonne' enamel Kovsh, of traditional form, with raised prow and hook handle, beautifully decorated with shaded polychrome cloisonne' enamel with stylised scrolling foliage.

The piece is Hallmarked Russian silver 84 (875 standard), Moscow, year 1896-1908, Assayer's mark IL (Ivan Lebedkin), Maker's mark in Cyrillic MS (Maria Semenova, very important silversmith specialized in small enamelled silver objects such kovshes, please follow this link to a very similar example sold in Christie's).
