DESCRIPTION
Genuine and fine Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute wristwatch, automatic, matt black dial with luminous 24-hour numerals and hour batons, subsidiary dials, 12 hour and 30-minute registers, outer printed graduation, outer silvered scale with rotating milled bezel, 17 jewels.
The genuine and authentic watch mounted with a NATO strap bracelet, clasp stamped "INOX" and "cm22", Maker's mark "M".
The dial is signed Breiling Cosmonaute, the case is stamped Breiling, "Swiss Made", Ref. 81600, "stainless steel". The watch dates to year 1990's.
The Breiling Navitimer Cosmonaute was used in 1962 by Scott Carpenter, who orbitated around the Earth three times - a vital necessity in distinguishing day from night. This watch became the first watch to travel in space, please follow this link for more information.
