Antique 19th Century Indian Madras solid silver ewer, crafted from exceptionally heavy gauge silver. The body is richly decorated in repoussé with Hindu deities and foliate motifs on its tapering form. The finial depicts a snake charmer, with the cobra forming the handle. Set on a raised, angled foot. Hallmarked with "925" (925 sterling silver). No maker's mark.
