ANTIQUE 19thC GERMAN 18K SOLID GOLD DECORATIVE SNUFF BOX, HANAU c.1840
19th Century German 18k gold snuff box, made in the style of the early 1720's boxes, cartouche shaped, chased with a scene depicting possibly a Dutch lady being served tea by her Oriental servants, dressed in 17th century dress, lid and base embossed with rocaille shells, rococo scrolls and the sides engraved with cross-hatch corners and floral garlands.
Hallmarked with German Hanau pseudo marks (750).

Antique mid-19th Century German 18k solid gold snuff box, made in the style of the early 1720's boxes, cartouche shaped, chased with a scene depicting possibly a Dutch lady being served tea by her Oriental servants, dressed in 17th century dress, lid and base embossed with rocaille shells, rococo scrolls and the sides engraved with cross-hatch corners and floral garlands. Hallmarked with German Hanau pseudo marks (tested 750 standard).
