ANTIQUE 19thC GERMAN 18K SOLID GOLD DECORATIVE SNUFF BOX, HANAU c.1840
-19th Century German 18k solid gold snuff box, made in the style of the early 1720's boxes, cartouche shaped, chased with a scene dipicting possibly a Dutch lady being served tea by her Oriental servants, dressed in 17th century dress, lid and base ebmossed with rocaille shells, rococo scrolls and the sides engraved with cross-hatch corners and floral garlands.

Antique mid-19th Century German 18k solid gold snuff box, made in the style of the early 1720's boxes, cartouche shaped, chased with a scene dipicting possibly a Dutch lady being served tea by her Oriental servants, dressed in 17th century dress, lid and base ebmossed with rocaille shells, rococo scrolls and the sides engraved with cross-hatch corners and floral garlands. Hallmarked with German Hanau preudo marks (tested 750 standard).
