DESCRIPTION
Antique 19th Century Georgian 18k gold toothpick box, of elongated rectangular form, engine turned decoration throughout, the lid chased with a floral boarder, applied with turquoise cabochons and thumb piece with old cut emeralds and rubies. Unmarked (tested 750 standard), circa 1815, Maker possibly Alexander J Strachan, specialised in gold boxes, examples can be seen in the Royal collection)
