19th Century French 18K gold pill or snuff box, of round form, the sun burst engine turned covers beautifully engraved with floral motifs around the boarders. The lids rim engraved with a band of laurel leaves.
Hallmarked French gold (750 standard, mark used 1809-1819), also bears a guarantee mark, Makers mark SD (unknown) and bearing another indistinct mark J?.
