19th Century French 18k gold mounted & hand-painted enamel scent bottle, of amphora-shape, the gold mount is highly decorated, body and hinged cover depicting an exceptionally well-painted Renaissance inspired scenes. The hinge is tight and the top opens to reveal the original gold stopper. Two-color gold mounts with matching finger ring and chain.

Antique mid-19th Century French 18k gold mounted & hand-painted enamel scent bottle, of amphora-shape, the gold mount is highly decorated, body and hinged cover depicting an exceptionally well-painted Renaissance inspired scenes. The hinge is tight and the top opens to reveal the original gold stopper. Two-color gold mounts with matching finger ring and chain. Such Renaissance-inspired enamelled items are generally Austrian made, but this particular perfume bottle - is of much higher quality compared to similar pieces made in Vienna.
