Osvaldo Borsani (1911–1985) was an influential Italian designer and architect, celebrated for his refined approach to modern furniture and interiors. Trained at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera and the Politecnico di Milano, Borsani combined technical precision with elegant, functional design. In 1953, he co-founded Tecno, a company that became synonymous with innovative, beautifully engineered furniture for both domestic and commercial spaces. His work often blended high-quality materials like marble, wood, and metal with clever mechanical detailing, and he is particularly admired for designs such as the P40 adjustable lounge chair and a range of sleek tables and storage pieces. Borsani’s creations remain highly sought after, representing the sophistication of mid-century Italian design.
