Ignazio Gardella (1905–1999) was one of Italy’s most respected modernist architects and designers, whose work spanned much of the 20th century. Trained as both an engineer and architect, Gardella became known for his ability to combine rational, functional design with refined, sometimes unexpected decorative elements.
