DESCRIPTION
An exceptional elephant foot footstool in excellent condition, finished with an elegant brass rim and reupholstered leather top. Most items of this kind have not stood the test of time, the patina is poor and they show cracks from decades of exposure to heat and cold. This example is in a great state of preservation. Elephants are obviously highly protected but as this item is pre-1947 it can be sold within the EU without the need for further paperwork (please refer to our FAQ page for further clarifications)
N.B. THIS ITEM IS DERIVED FROM WHAT IS NOW A HIGHLY PROTECTED SPECIES. AS A "WORKED" ITEM PRE-DATING 1947 IT DOES NOT REQUIRE A CITES CERTIFICATE TO BE RESOLD WITHIN THE EUROPEAN UNION.
