19th Century Chinese silver decorative fruit bowl, of traditional round form, applied with a shaped arched and pierced rim with flouted decoration along the bottom. The decoration is crisp and detailed, decorated with a continuous scene of chrysanthemums flowers on plain ground, the bowl is supported by four mythical dragon mask feet.

Hallmarked with Chinese character marks and retailers mark for Wing Cheong, Hong Kong, Artisan An Heng.

DESCRIPTION

Antique late-19th Century Chinese solid silver decorative fruit bowl, of traditional round form, applied with a shaped arched and pierced rim with flouted decoration along the bottom. The decoration is crisp and detailed, decorated with a continuous scene of chrysanthemums flowers on plain ground, the bowl is supported by four mythical dragon mask feet. The bowl is particularly large, heavy and very well crafted, by an outstanding Chinese silversmith. The base hallmarked with Chinese character marks and retailers mark for Wing Cheong, Hong Kong, Artisan An Heng.
