ANTIQUE 19thC RARE CHINESE SOLID SILVER LARGE WALL MIRROR c.1860
Mid-19th Century very rare Chinese silver wall hanging mirror, very large and exceptionally detailed, highly embossed with a bamboo boarder and all around decorated with various animals below, floral decorations on the sides and birds along the top, bearing three vacant cartooches along the top and one bellow surrounded by Chinese characters.

DESCRIPTION
Antique mid-19th Century very rare Chinese solid silver wall hanging mirror, very large and exceptionally detailed, highly embossed with a bamboo boarder and all around decorated with various animals below, floral decorations on the sides and birds along the top, bearing three vacant cartooches along the top and one bellow surrounded by Chinese characters. Original mirror surrounded by a richly parcel gilt boarder.
The item doesn't appear to be hallmarks (acid tested shows a 900+ silver standard), year 1840-70, its very rare to find such large antique Chinese silver pieces as most of them are now in museums or important private collections. The mirror here presented is of exceptional size, rarity and quality, probably produced for a wealthy Chinese clientele and not for export.
CONDITION
General wear and minor damages in places as expected for an old and fragile item such this, wear and stains to the original mirror.
