DESCRIPTION

Antique mid-19th Century Chinese Export Solid Silver large goblet, the large highly embossed cup decorated with continuous village scenes, boats and pagodas, richly gilded inside, resting on a thick stem decorated with leaves and terminating with a doomed base chased with grapevines. The piece is very unusual, fine and exceptionally crisp.

Hallmarked Chinese silver export marks (tested is 900+ standard), Makers mark "CUT" for Cutshing (active 1790-1895, 8 New China st, Canton). Considered as one of the most important and renown Chinese luxury retailer and silver manufacturer active in Canton. (for more information please see A.
