19th Century Burmese, Myanmar Silver Thabeik bowl, repousse' decorated in high relief depicting different traditional scenes from the Burmese mythology, showing detailed figures set against a chiseled matted background in eight different panels. The top chased with scrolling bands and base decorated with a thick band of overlapping betel leaves. The quality of the bowl is outstanding, heavy gauge and very crisp. The base engraved with a makers peacock mark.

Antique 19th Century Exceptional Burmese, Myanmar Solid Silver Thabeik bowl, repousse' decorated in high relief depicting different traditional scenes from the Burmese mythology, showing detailed figures set against a chiseled matted background in eight different panels. The top chased with scrolling bands and base decorated with a thick band of overlapping betel leaves. The quality of the bowl is outstanding, heavy gauge and very crisp. The base engraved with a makers peacock mark, there are number of different variations of the peacock signature, all of whom are are indirectly claiming past royal patronage by using this mark (see Wilkinson's page 41).
