



































SUPERB 20thC SOLID SILVER NOVELTY BOOKMARK OF WINSTON CHURCHILL, LONDON c.1975
A superb 20th Century English solid silver novelty bookmark. This bookmark depicts a gentleman called Winston Spencer Churchill smoking his iconic cigar.
Winston Churchill (1874–1965) served as Britain’s Prime Minister from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1951 to 1955. He played a key role in World War II, leading Britain through the conflict and working closely with Allied leaders. Before this, he held various government positions, including First Lord of the Admiralty during World War I. Churchill was also a prolific writer and historian, winning the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1953. His work included multi-volume histories of both world wars. In his later years, he focused on diplomacy and Cold War politics before retiring from public life in 1955.
