The RMS Windsor Castle was a British ocean liner launched in 1959, serving primarily on the Southampton to South Africa route. Built for the Union-Castle Line, she combined passenger comfort with reliable cargo transport, reflecting the era’s transition from traditional ocean travel to air travel. Renowned for her elegant design and spacious accommodations, the Windsor Castle remained in service until 1977 before being repurposed and eventually decommissioned in 2005.
