A superb 20th Century English solid silver Art Deco desk set, comprising a mechanical pencil, notepad with paper, two pen holders, and a small rest to prevent ink from dripping directly onto the desk. Notably, the pencil rests were made by Samson Mordan and the base was made by Asprey & Co, potentially on commission.
Hallmarked English solid silver (925 standard), London, year 1936 (A), Maker's mark SM&Co (Sampson Mordan & Co). On the rear of the base, it is marked "A&Co Ltd (Asprey & Co Ltd).
