18th Century George II Rococo Silver tea caddy, of rectangular form, profusely embossed in the Chinoiserie taste, the panels depicting c-scrolls and flowers surrounding Chinese figures, birds and pagodas, pull-off lid with floral finial.
Hallmarked English silver (925 standard), London, year 1758 (C), Maker's mark WC for William Cripps.

Antique 18th Century exceptionally rare George II Rococo Solid Silver tea caddy, of rectangular form, profusely embossed in the Chinoiserie taste, the panels depicting c-scrolls and flowers surrounding Chinese figures, birds and pagodas, pull-off lid with floral finial.
Such Georgian Chinoiserie tea caddies became popular in the mid-18th century with the Huguenot silversmiths, in particular Paul de Lamerie, and are exceptionally rare and valuable.
Both parts are Hallmarked English silver (925 standard), London, year 1758 (C), Maker's mark WC (William Cripps, important silversmith).
CONDITION
In Great Condition - No damage, just general wear.
