Antique 18th Century extremely rare Queen Anne Solid Silver chocolate pot, of tapering cylindrical form, on molded foot rim, carved wood side handle, hexagonal spout with hinged cover, the domed cover with detachable cap surmounted by a vase-shaped finial. Early silver chocolate pots such this, in great condition and by a renown silversmith are extremely rare and sought after by collectors.

Both body and cover are Hallmarked English Silver, Britannia mark (958 high standard), London, year 1713 (s), Maker's mark WA (Joseph Ward, important silversmith, few pieces by the same maker are held in the Metropolitan Museum of New York).
