A superb 20th Century American silver plated cigarette case and lighter.
Designed to resemble a $100 note, the case features Benjamin Franklin (1706–1790) who was an American polymath—scientist, inventor, diplomat, writer, and Founding Father of the United States in the center of the Dollar note. On the reverse, Indipendance Hall, this is the historic building where the United States Declaration of Independence and Constitution were debated and adopted.
The detailing on both pieces is first chased, then filled with black enamel, creating a striking contrast against the silver. Inside the cigarette case, a spring-loaded holder secures cigarettes, and an engine-turned etched pattern adds refinement. The lighter carries the same $100 note design around its body. Presented in its original retail box, this set is a distinctive collectible or gift.
