ANTIQUE 19thC RUSSIAN SOLID SILVER & NIELLO CIGARETTE CASE, MOSCOW c.1877

19th Century Russian silver & niello enamel large cigarette case, parcel gilt, each side decorated with a niello enamel decoration, the cover depicting view of the Kremlin, reverse with a vacant cartoosh for the owners initials, the sprung hinge is very tight and kept closed with an overlapping hinged latch.

Hallmarked Imperial Russian silver, Moscow, year 1877, Assay master I.K, Maker Cyrillic for Gaponov Pyotr.
