19th Century Japanese ivory Okimono figure, beautifully carved as a standing old man resting on a walking stick and smiling, he rests on top of a little wooden pier, a turtle below climbing the pile, all finely carved and engraved.

The okimono dates to the Meiji period, year about 1890’s, the base is set with the maker’s mark.

Antique 19th Century Japanese ivory Okimono figure, beautifully carved as a standing old man resting on a walking stick and smiling, he rests on top of a little wooden pier, a turtle below climbing the pile, all finely carved and engraved.

The okimono dates to the Meiji period, year about 1890’s, the base is set with the maker’s mark.
