Antique late 19th Century German Black Forest fruitwood humidor. Its top intricately carved with a scene depicting a deer and its young. Below, two doors adorned with molded flowers and leaves lead to a compartmentalised interior, revealing hinged doors that open to reveal pull-out trays for storing cigars. The bottom section features a frieze drawer for additional storage, on ornately carved feet. They would adorn humble lodges as well as stately homes.
