ANTIQUE 20thC RARE GERMAN SOLID SILVER SOLID SILVER SINGING BIRD BOX c.1920
20th Century German Silver singing bird box, of rectangular form, the sides are chased and applied with cherubs, the highly decorated top is centered by a cover depicting two naked cherubs, it opens revealing a bird with multi-coloured feathered plumage, moving and singing, rising from a grill. Going-barrel movement is in perfect condition, with original brass key. The base is Hallmarked German silver (STERLING, 925).

Antique 20th Century rare German Solid Silver singing bird box, of rectangular form, the sides are chased and applied with cherubs, the highly decorated top is centered by a cover depicting two naked cherubs, it opens revealing a bird with multi-coloured feathered plumage, moving and singing, rising from a grill. Going-barrel movement is in perfect condition, with original brass key. The base is Hallmarked German silver (STERLING, 925 standard), maker's mark not found, year 1920's.
