Antique 20th Century pair of German Solid Silver wall chargers / sideboard dishes, large size (48.2 cm diameter), of circular form in the style of the 16th / 17th Century silver sideboard dishes / chargers, the border embossed with scrolling foliage and fruits, in the style of the early pieces, the centre is chased with two different battle scenes, with knights on a horseback engaging a cavalry skirmish.
The dishes bearing pseudo-marks typical of German Hanau silver, acid tested shows a 800+ silver standard, it dates to 1910-20.
