Description
Antique 20th Century German Solid Silver jewellery / biscuit box, enormous size, impressive and extremely decorative, the shaped-oval body rests on four scroll feet and is lobed and profusely embossed with cherubs, flowers and scrolls, the hinged lid in the same style terminates with a floral finial. The inside is richly gilt. The base is Hallmarked German silver (800 standard), village of Freigericht near Hanau, it dates to year 1930's, Maker's mark Os (Joseph Oswald Nf.).
