Antique mid-19th Century German pair of magnificent five-light candelabra, large and exceptional quality, made in the neo-classical style, each on circular bases, column decorated with acanthus leaves, the base applied with classical Grecian figures, the tops terminating in a urn-shaped socket, supporting three leaf twisting branches and a central light supported by a semi-nude warrior. Hallmarked German silver 13 (800+ standard), year 1850-1870, Maker's mark W.C.H & S (Wilhelm Conrad Hessenberg)
