Antique late-19th Century German pair of carved Ivory, solid silver on rock crystal figures of a man and woman in 18th century dress, the man holding a gardening spade, with a small dog below and the lady a flower basket in hand and a dove perching on her hand, exceptional quality of carving, the pair of figures mounted on bases, elaborate silver decoration applied over rock crystal. One figure hallmarked with English import marks 925 (925 silver standard), London import mark, year 1925 (m), Importer B.C.T.Co LTD (British Commercial Transport Co Ltd, Shipping & forwarding agents, Moor Lane, London EC2), the other with German, Hanau pseudo marks, possibly of Georg Roth & Co (active 1891-1919)

General wear and cracks to the ivory.
