DESCRIPTION

Antique 19th Century rare set of Victorian Solid Silver spoons, each richly gilt, each handle cast depicting angels, flowers and scrolls in relief, bowls engraved with a coat of arms and the Welsh motto: "Gwell Angau Na Chywilydd" (better death than shame).

The set comes in the original presentation case by Carrington & Co, royal purveyors to Queen Victoria.

Each piece is Hallmarked English silver (925 standard), London, two year 1875 (u), two year 1876 (A), Maker's mark HWC (Henry William Curry).

CONDITION

Spoons in Excellent Condition - No damage. The box doesn't close properly.
