Hallmarked Scottish silver (925), Glasgow, year 1875 (E), Maker's mark "J.R" for John Reid & Co, retailers stamp for ‘Edward & Sons, London & Glasgow’.

Antique 19th Century Scottish exceptionally rare and unusual solid silver tea service, comprising a hot water pot, teapot, sugar bowl and cream jug, each piece particularly crisp and decorative, central band chased with Chinese inspired decoration and stylised key scroll decoration, vacant cartouches to each piece, the hinged lids mounted with pagoda finials.

All parts are Hallmarked Scottish silver (925 Standard), Glasgow, year 1875 (E), Maker's mark "J.R" (John Reid & Co), further stamped with retailers stamp for ‘Edward & Sons, London & Glasgow’ also with registered design mark for June 17th 1875.
