19th Century Victorian Silver impressive & magnificent set of three wine Ewers / Jugs, the massive one flanked by two large ewers featuring the same design, exceptionally decorative Neo-Classical style, particularly heavy gauge, each raised on a circular foot, waisted neck, the ovoid body with applied cast frieze depicting classical figures, leaf embellished cast scroll handle. Hallmarked English silver (925), Birmingham, the larger jug year 1877 (c), Maker's mark FE for Frederick Elkington, one of the two smaller jugs year 1895 (v), Maker's mark FE for Frederick Elkington, the third jug year 1890 (q), Maker's mark E&CoLd for Elkington & Co.

Antique late-19th Century Victorian Solid Silver impressive & magnificent set of three wine Ewers / Jugs, the massive one (45cm tall) flanked by two large ewers featuring the same design (35cm tall), exceptionally decorative Neo-Classical style, particularly heavy gauge (3705 grams of solid silver), each raised on a circular foot, waisted neck, the ovoid body with applied cast frieze depicting classical figures, leaf embellished cast scroll handle.

Each piece is Hallmarked English silver (925 Standard), Birmingham, the larger jug year 1877 (c), Maker's mark FE (Frederick Elkington, for Elkington & Co), one of the two smaller jugs year 1895 (v), Maker's mark FE (Frederick Elkington, for Elkington & Co), the third jug year 1890 (q), Maker's mark E&CoLd (Elkington & Co). Each foot is also stamped "ELKINGTON & CO".

This is a rare, extraordinary, magnificent and extremely decorative matched set.
