20th Century George V Silver tea kettle on a three feet burner stand, impressively large and very heavy, made in the style of the early 18th century Queen Anne kettles, compressed pear shaped body, detachable domed cover with wooden finial, hinged overhead handle with turned wooden centre, on a conforming stand with burner. Hallmarked English silver (925), London, year 1916 (a), Maker's mark C&Co for Carrington & Co.

DESCRIPTION

Antique 20th Century George V Solid Silver tea kettle on a three feet burner stand, impressively large and very heavy, made in the style of the early 18th century Queen Anne kettles, compressed pear shaped body, detachable domed cover with wooden finial, hinged overhead handle with turned wooden centre, on a conforming stand with burner.

Each part (apart from chains and one pin) is Hallmarked English silver (925 Standard), London, year 1916 (a), Maker's mark C&Co (Carrington & Co, very important Royal jewellers and silversmiths).

CONDITION

Silver in Excellent Condition - No damage. General wear to the wooden parts.
