19th Century William IV silver tea kettle on a four feet burner stand, impressively large and heavy, lobed body chased with leaves, the rim and the stand cast simulating spume, the feet similarly modelled simulating sea waves, the stand is fitted. Large scroll swing handle with turned grip, the hinged lid mounted with an impressive finial modelled as an eagle ready to soar and take flight. DESCRIPTION

Antique 19th Century William IV Solid Silver tea kettle on a four feet burner stand, impressively large and heavy (twice or three times bigger than a regular one), lobed body chased with leaves, the rim and the stand cast simulating spume, the feet similarly modelled simulating sea waves, the stand is fitted .
Large scroll swing handle with turned grip, the hinged lid mounted with an impressive finial modelled as an eagle ready to soar and take flight.

Each part is Hallmarked English silver (925 Standard), London, year 1831 (q), Maker's mark JCE (James Charles Edington, very important silversmith, supplier of silver to retail goldsmiths and jewellers Green, Ward & Green of Cockspur Street).
