19th Century Georgian Silver filled candlesticks, particularly large and heavy, each shaped-circular base chased with acanthus leaves and scrolls, tulip-shaped fluted capitals applied with acanthus leaves and tapering fluted stem, detachable nozzles applied with leaf and scroll decoration.

Hallmarked English silver (925 standard), Sheffield, year 1815 (o), Maker's mark I.W for John Watson.

DESCRIPTION

Antique 19th Century rare pair of Georgian Solid Silver filled candlesticks, particularly large and heavy, each shaped-circular base chased with acanthus leaves and scrolls, tulip-shaped fluted capitals applied with acanthus leaves and tapering fluted stem, detachable nozzles applied with leaf and scroll decoration.

The pair features a highly-decorative and crisp decoration, heavy gauge, both nozzles and bases are engraved with a family crest.

Both bases and nozzles are Hallmarked English silver (925 standard), Sheffield, year 1815 (o), Maker's mark I.W (John Watson).

CONDITION

In Great Condition - no damage.
