DESCRIPTION

Antique 19th Century pair of rare Georgian Solid Silver sauce boats, each exceptionally large and heavy, of typical helmet-form, cast leaf-capped scroll handle, applied cast gadrooned rim, on tree cast hoof feet with shell junction, the body engraved with a large coat-of-arms. The size and quality of this pair of sauce boats closely remind the examples by Paul Storr.

Hallmarked English Silver (925 standard), London, one year 1821 (f), Maker's mark WH (for William Hall).
