18th Century Georgian silver set of four Sauce Tureens, each navette-shaped on oval pedestal feet, Empire style swag and rosette decoration and beaded rims, matching domed covers terminating with a stunning cast finial modelled as a pine-cone. Each engraved with a family crest and coat of arms. Hallmarked English Silver (925), London, year 1778 (c), Maker's mark WH for William Holmes.

Antique 18th Century Georgian rare and exceptional Solid Silver set of four Sauce Tureens, each navette-shaped on oval pedestal feet, Empire style swag and rosette decoration and beaded rims, matching domed covers terminating with a stunning cast finial modelled as a pine-cone. Each engraved with a family crest and coat of arms. A complete set of four 18th Century tureens is extremely rare, this features a particularly high quality of the workmanship and is is great condition. All parts are Hallmarked English Silver (925 standard), London, year 1778 (c), Maker's mark WH (William Holmes, great silversmith).
