20th Century Italian silver soup tureen and cover, impressively large and exceptionally heavy, oval form heavily embossed with scrolls in the Rococo style, twin cast figural handles depicting mermaids, cover with the same design surmounted with a cast cauliflower finial. Hallmarked Italian Silver (800), Maker's mark "87PD" for Clemente Ceccagno, active in Padua, year 1970-71.

Stunning 20th Century Italian solid silver soup tureen and cover, impressively large and exceptionally heavy, oval form heavily embossed with scrolls in the Rococo style, twin cast figural handles depicting mermaids, cover with the same design surmounted with a cast cauliflower finial.
The base is Hallmarked Italian Silver (800 Standard), Maker's mark "87PD" for Clemente Ceccagno, active in Padua, year 1970-71.
