Description

Antique late-19th / early-20th Century Chinese Export Solid Silver mounted Rosewood serving tray, of rectangular form in the Japanese taste, the corner are applied with silver corners beautifully hammered, the surface is inlaid with silver depicting a bamboo branch with leaves and a bird, twin cast handles simulating bamboo.

The silver is not hallmarked as often the case for such pieces (acid tested shows a 900+ standard), but the it has the same provenance of the Wang Hing four piece tea and coffee set currently for sale in our shop, and it appears to be original from the set matching the style, suggesting that it might be a product of the Wang Hing workshop.
