18th Century Imperial Russian silver tea kettle on stand, the bullet shaped body chased with rococo decoration and spiral bands, mounted with a turned wood swing handle and knop, the stand applied with cast floral apron, the burner within three scroll legs and shell feet.

Hallmarked with Imperial Russian silver marks (875 silver standard), Assay master E.A (unknown), Moscow, year 1761, Maker's mark in Cyrillic B.A (unknown silversmith, active 1760-1794, see Russian hallmarks, Postnikova -Loseva, page 204 and for a similar example see page 79), burner and stand bearing scratch test marks and later French import marks.

Antique mid-18th Century Imperial Russian rare solid silver tea kettle on stand, the bullet shaped body chased with rococo decoration and spiral bands, mounted with a turned wood swing handle and knob, the stand applied with cast floral apron, the burner within three scroll legs and shell feet.

Lid and base of the kettle hallmarked with Imperial Russian silver marks (875 silver standard), Assay master E.A (unknown), Moscow, year 1761, Maker's mark in Cyrillic B.A (unknown silversmith, active 1760-1794, see Russian hallmarks, Postnikova -Loseva, page 204 and for a similar example see page 79), burner and stand bearing scratch test marks and later French import marks.
