Antique 19th Century very rare Ottoman Empire solid silver gilt pair of spoon holder (Sakizlik), very decorative design, on floral openwork domed base on six columb feet. The widening wavy rimmed body is decorated with leaves and applied flowers,

Hallmarked Ottoman Empire mark, silver (900 Standard), with rare "Tughra" and "Sah" marks (please follow this link), both very clear and crisp. The Tughra mark is the Sultan's signature, and is probably the one of Abdulhamid II (1876-1909).
